The first step to a great life is to fill your life with a positive faith that will help you through anything. The second is to begin where you are. -Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Faith. Webster’s New World Thesaurus gives us other words for faith. They include confidence, trust, dependence, sureness, certainty, allegiance, reliance and those to which Dr. Peale alluded in his statement – a formal system of beliefs, or what we commonly refer to as religion.

Faith comes in many forms. We trust in ourselves, we trust in fellow soldiers with whom we enter a combat situation, we trust our police, our firefighters, our schoolteachers, our co-workers and God, or Spirit, or Yaweh, or The Big Dude, or The World’s Power Supply, or however you and your conscience decide to refer to that awesome higher power that nearly all of us, regardless of our religious affiliation, know in our hearts is out there somewhere.

If you allow yourself to really, truly, completely ascribe to the notion that that higher power can prop you up when you need it, guide you over life’s speed bumps, give you peace and strength when things go wrong and celebrate with you when things go right, then you have the perfect starting place.

Now, press on. Don’t look back. Why would you want to go back to where you were? There is a saying that no matter where you find yourself, there you are. Nothing could be truer.

If you want to progress, you must begin somewhere. You can’t begin now from where you were then, and you can’t begin now from where you hope to be in the future. You must begin where you are, and go from there. So get up off your butt, take that first step, and begin!

You must do it now!  Take action and you will see results.  The funny thing is that most people get all worked up and get ready to move when the time is right.  Well, the time IS right now.  GO, GO, GO!

You could have the best product, the best compensation plan, and a terrific plan to implement.  But, if you take no action, no results will follow.

I know it sounds ridiculous that people wouldn’t go forward, but they get caught up in the “right” time mentality.  There is no “right” time.  You must go NOW!

This thought process is like not leaving the house until all the light are on green.  You wouldn’t want to have to stop a red light.  Just wait until they are all on green.  How silly is that.  EXACTLY!

As Nike says:  Just Do It!!
