Hey y’all it’s damian and I just announced today that I’m now accepting new YourNetBiz members.  I’ve been semi-retired for almost 2 years now from actively marketing and bringing in new members into YourNetBiz.

I just posted this press release to “spill the beans” on this new announcement to work with new YourNetBiz members.  I also put up this YouTube video as well about what I can offer those who are looking into joining YourNetBiz.

If you’re new to the YourNetBiz business opportunity, you can check out my YourNetBiz Review site.

Well, as you can see I haven’t been posting to this blog for months.  I am updating this and will changing the look, feel and content on this bad boy.  For the time being, check out my new online marketing training program.  It’s the best FREE online marketing training available today.

As you can tell from looking at the updates on my posts, you’ll see that I haven’t been posting regularly.  Well, this is primarily due to the fact I’ve been building up The Turn-Key Coaching Club and have taken on personal consults with several members to help them build stronger and more profitable online businesses.

From doing a couple webinars per week and spending time with the family, writing on the blog has sorta taken a back seat.  My apologies…

Anyway, I’ve been asked to put up a page about the businesses that I’m in and have finally done so.  You can check out the few opportunities I believe in on the last tab, titled:  “Make Money” on the nav bar of this blog.

It’s not super informative however, you’ll find links to get more info if you’re interested in checking them out.

I don’t do any aggressive marketing any longer as I’ve been able to build up a nice recurring income from these businesses.  This is because they all provide fantastic compensation plans that pay you on the successes of your members.  Mostly due to the help and support I’ve provided over the years, many of my members are now succeeding and I am getting compensated for it.

That’s why I strongly support these companies because they allow you to truly build a passive income over time.  Those are the best compensation plans available.

As I’ve always said that “Your Success Truly Is My Success” and this is the reward for helping others become successful.

So if you’re interested in possibly working together, check out the businesses and see if there’s anything you like.  Then, personally contact me to see if  we can work together.

thanks,

damian

Here is a true story that just happened in my personal life.  This is kind of a venting video for me and also a very valuable lesson not only in life but also in business.  This is NOT a marketing video, but i think you can get a laugh and learn a good business lesson too.  I hope you enjoy it as much as i did while putting this together. (The best part for me starts around the 6:20 mark.)

TRUE STORY

There are many things you can do to improve your conversations skills.  For example, you can watch talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words.

This may seem like a lot of work, I know, but even though it’s your mouth that’s doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective communicator is to understand the very person closest to you: YOU!

1. What do you know.
Education is all about learning the skills, but to be an effective speaker is to implement and practice what you’ve learned. Speaking on stage in front of a large audience has taught me that we all have our limitations, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn to keep up and share what we know.

2. Listening.
You were born with 2 ears and 1 mouth and some of the best advice I ever received was to use them proportionately.  It’s just as important as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us to be a little bit confident with ourselves and to say the things we believe in with conviction.

3. Humility
We all make mistakes, and sometimes we tend to rush our words, stutter, and probably mispronounce certain words even though we know what it means, and sometimes on a rare occasion we say certain words only to impress listeners. So in a group, don’t be scared to ask if you’re saying the right word correctly and if they’re unsure about it then make a joke out of it. I promise you it’ll make everyone laugh and you can get away with it as well.  Self deprecating humor is always good to build you up with your audience.

4. Eye Contact
There’s a lot to say when it comes to directing your attention to your audience with an eye-catching gaze. It’s important that you keep your focus and composure when talking to a large group in a meeting or a seminar, even though it can be easy to get side tracked.  It is even easier to get off topic when conducting a meeting online.  Stay focused!

5. Joking around
A little bit of humor can go a long way to lift the tension, or even worse, boredom when making your talk. This way, you’ll get the attention from most of the crowd and they’ll feel that you’re just as approachable, and as human to those who listen.

6. Be just like them
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You’ll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.  Plus the contacts can be priceless.

7. Me, Myself, and I
Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch. When practicing what you’re going to say, it always a good idea to try to enlist a friend to give you their opinion.

8. A smile goes a long way
A smile says it all much like eye contact. There’s no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it’s funeral. You can better express what you’re saying when you smile, EVEN when you’re on the phone or the computer.  Your smile shines through.

9. A Mentor
There must be at least one or two people in your life you have listened to when they’re at a public gathering or meeting of some kind. Sure they read their lines, but taking a mental note of how they emphasize what they say can help you once you take center stage.  Find mentors to learn from.

10. Just like a boy scout…Be Prepared
Make the best out of preparation rather than just scribbling notes and often in a hurried panic, yup I’ve been there before. Some people like to write things down on index cards, while other resort to being a little more silly as they look at their notes written on the palm of their hand (apparently that’s wrong now if you’re Sara Palin). Just be yourself and comfortable with what you know and have fun.

The biggest point I can make in getting your point across is have conviction and confidence in what you’re talking about.  Simply put, if you don’t have confidence in yourself, no one else will either.
