I receive many emails throughout the day and do my best to read through them all. Every now and then I get a good one one that is being forwarded and would like to pass this on to you.

I don’t usually forward emails like a chain letter but, I thought that this would be a good post to my blog today. I hope you enjoy it!

Mental Feng Shui

This is without a doubt one of the nicest good luck forwards I have received. Hope it works for you — and me!

Lotus Touts: You have 6 minutes

There’s some mighty fine advice in these words, even if you’re not superstitious. This Lotus Touts has been sent to you for good luck from the Anthony Robbins organization. It has been sent around the world ten times so far.

Do not keep this message.

The Lotus Touts must leave your hands in 6 MINUTES. Otherwise you will get a very unpleasant surprise. This is true, even if you are not superstitious, agnostic, or otherwise faith impaired.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, ‘I love you,’ mean it.

FIVE. When you say, ‘I’m sorry,’ look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone’s dreams. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly.. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don’t judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN! .. When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, ‘Why do you want to know?’

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say ‘bless you’ when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN.. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY- ONE. Spend some time alone.

Now, here’s the FUN part!
Send this to at least 5 people and your life will improve. 1-4 people: Your life will improve slightly.
5-9 people: Your life will improve to your liking.
9-14 people: You will have at least 5 surprises in the next 3 weeks

15 and above: Your life will improve drastically and everything you ever dreamed of will begin to take shape.

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. Do not keep this message.

Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody. Longfellow

Has it occurred to you that no matter what you do to earn your living, you’re in sales? Think about it. Whether you are a minister, a doctor, a lawyer, whether you drive a truck or make pastries in a bakery, you’re in sales.

Are you married?

That’s one of life’s biggest sales jobs! In order to make a sale, sometimes you have to knock and knock and knock, without giving up and without letting up. If you make enough noise someone is going to wake up and listen to what you have to say.

Keep digging. It doesn’t matter whether you’re 25 or 65, whether you’re male or female, physically disabled or otherwise challenged. Begin here. Begin now. Don’t stop. Don’t get distracted. You can reach your goal. All you have to do is keep on and keep on and keep on…

The fact is that if more people kept going instead of throwing in the towel they would get there. Too many people quit right before they would accomplish what they are trying for.

It just gets to hard for them to continue and then they feel it would be easier to just quit then keep on going. I have always kept in my mind the saying “that it is always darkest before the dawn.” This is incredibly true.

You will get there, you will succeed, you will reach your goal if you believe and keep persevering. Don’t quit now… or EVER! Remember, failure only occurs if you quit. So make failure not an option.

Stella Awards
Proof of “entitlement mentality”

(This is really amazing and I got a kick out of it. I thought I would share it with those who may not have know how “wonderful” our legal system can be. Things that make you go hhmmmmm!)

It’s time again for the annual “Stella Awards!” For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued the McDonald’s in
New Mexico where she purchased the coffee. You remember, she took the lid off the coffee and put it between her knees while she was driving. Who would ever think one could get burned doing that, right?

That’s right; these are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and verdicts in the U. S. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch your head. So keep your head scratcher handy.

Here are the Stellas for the past year:

7TH PLACE: Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably surprised by the verdict, considering the running toddler was her own son.

6TH PLACE: Carl Truman, 19, of Los Angeles, California won $74,000 plus medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Truman apparently didn’t notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when he was trying to steal his neighbor’s hubcaps.

Go ahead, grab your head scratcher.

5TH PLACE: Terrence Dickson, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, who was leaving a house he had just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn’t re-enter the house because the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut. Forced to sit for eight, count ‘em, EIGHT, days on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner’s insurance company claiming undue mental anguish.

Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have this kind of anguish.

Keep scratching. There are more…

4TH PLACE: Jerry Williams, of Little Rock, Arkansas, garnered 4th Place in the Stellas when he was awarded $14,500 plus medical expenses after being bitten on the butt by his next door neighbor’s beagle – even though the beagle was on a chain in its owner’s fenced yard. Williams did not get as much as he asked for because the jury believed the beagle might have been provoked at the time of the butt bite because Williams had climbed over the fence into the yard and repeatedly shot the dog with a pellet gun.

Grrrrr … Scratch, scratch.

3RD PLACE: Amber Carson of Lancaster, Pennsylvania because a jury ordered a Philadelphia restaurant to pay her $113,500 after she slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The reason the soft drink was on the floor: Ms. Carson had thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. What ever happened to people being responsible for their own actions?

Scratch, scratch, scratch. Hang in there; there are only two more Stellas to go…

2ND PLACE: Kara Walton, of Claymont, Delaware sued the owner of a night club in a nearby city because she fell from the bathroom window to the floor, knocking out her two front teeth. Even though Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the ladies room window to avoid paying the $3.50 cover charge, the jury said the night club had to pay her $12,000…. oh, yeah, plus dental expenses. Go figure.

1ST PLACE: (May I have a fanfare played on 50 kazoos please) This year’s runaway First Place Stella Award winner was Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home from an OU football game, having driven on to the freeway, she set the cruise control at
70 mph and calmly left the driver’s seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner’s manual that she couldn’t actually leave the driver’s seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting down, $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home.

The first step to a great life is to fill your life with a positive faith that will help you through anything. The second is to begin where you are. -Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Faith. Webster’s New World Thesaurus gives us other words for faith. They include confidence, trust, dependence, sureness, certainty, allegiance, reliance and those to which Dr. Peale alluded in his statement – a formal system of beliefs, or what we commonly refer to as religion.

Faith comes in many forms. We trust in ourselves, we trust in fellow soldiers with whom we enter a combat situation, we trust our police, our firefighters, our schoolteachers, our co-workers and God, or Spirit, or Yaweh, or The Big Dude, or The World’s Power Supply, or however you and your conscience decide to refer to that awesome higher power that nearly all of us, regardless of our religious affiliation, know in our hearts is out there somewhere.

If you allow yourself to really, truly, completely ascribe to the notion that that higher power can prop you up when you need it, guide you over life’s speed bumps, give you peace and strength when things go wrong and celebrate with you when things go right, then you have the perfect starting place.

Now, press on. Don’t look back. Why would you want to go back to where you were? There is a saying that no matter where you find yourself, there you are. Nothing could be truer.

If you want to progress, you must begin somewhere. You can’t begin now from where you were then, and you can’t begin now from where you hope to be in the future. You must begin where you are, and go from there. So get up off your butt, take that first step, and begin!

You must do it now!  Take action and you will see results.  The funny thing is that most people get all worked up and get ready to move when the time is right.  Well, the time IS right now.  GO, GO, GO!

You could have the best product, the best compensation plan, and a terrific plan to implement.  But, if you take no action, no results will follow.

I know it sounds ridiculous that people wouldn’t go forward, but they get caught up in the “right” time mentality.  There is no “right” time.  You must go NOW!

This thought process is like not leaving the house until all the light are on green.  You wouldn’t want to have to stop a red light.  Just wait until they are all on green.  How silly is that.  EXACTLY!

As Nike says:  Just Do It!!

Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think. -Benjamin Disraeli

Many great thinkers, Mr. Disraeli not the least of them, have said over and over that what you think is what you become. And it’s true. If you think negative thoughts, your very existence becomes negative in nature.

If you limit yourself by thinking you’re “not good enough” or “not smart enough” or “not deserving enough” for whatever it is that you may be contemplating, consider this: What if you decided you are good enough and smart enough and deserving enough to actually allow yourself to receive exactly what you want?

If you decide you’re whipped in the very beginning, guess what – you are! If, however, you don’t limit yourself by feeding your mind negativity, if you allow yourself to think on a higher plane, with higher expectations than you have been allowing yourself to this point in your life, there literally is no limit to the levels to which you can rise. Give it a try. It is one of the most liberating, incredibly exciting gifts you can give yourself!

This concept has been made extremely popular lately with a series called “The Secret“. This great work in enlightening people from all over the world to their true potential.

See, your potential is what you BELIEVE it is! That is a profound statement. You must harness that incredible power of thought into every facet of your life. Don’t hold yourself back from ANYTHING you desire. Go for it!
